25th Anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall Celebration

We will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. The Consul General of Atlanta, the Honorary Consul of South Carolina, and and possi- bly the Honorary Consul of North Carolina will be present at the event. Events will take place in the afternoon at USC Upstate’s “The George” building in Spartanburg.

    • Readings & Songs iner Saturday, 3:00 German language!

    • St. John’s Lutheran Church, 415 S. South St, Spartanburg, SC

    • 2pm social gathering, 3pm service (for 2024 it’s 1 hour earlier than previous years)

    • Offertory will be donated to Backpack Buddies of St. John Lutheran and Red Cross

    • additional parking available down the street at Pine St. Elementary

  • SOMMERFEST - Sept. 9, Saturday from 4-9pm Springs of Grace Lutheran Church

  • October 7: Spartanburg International Festival at Barnet Park

  • November 30: Weihnachtsmarkt/Christmas Market at Boiling Springs High School, Thursday 5-7PM

  • December 9: Nikolausfeir: Saturday, 3:00 PM, Santa arrives at 4PM

    • Please bring tagged present for each child and a note for Santa indicating to praise or reprimand

    • Please bring dessert or appetizer, and children activities to share

    • Soup served; hot dogs for children

    • Free for members; $10 for non member families

  • Stammtisch: First Thursday each month. None in December (because of Nikolausfeier, January 5th Delaney’s, February 2nd the Green Olive Grill

  • Sommerfest: Saturday, August 20, 2022, 4:00 - 9:00 PM, Springs of Grace Lutheran Church-Picnic Shelter

  • Anne Frank Exhibit: On display at Sandor Teszler Library (lower level), Wofford College, Spartanburg, SC, through November 19th, 2022.

  • International Festival: Has been canceled for this weekend due to Hurricane Ian and is rescheduled for October 15th with the new venue being the Memorial Auditorium.

  • Dicken’s of a Christmas: December 6th, 2022, 6:00 PM, Downtown Spartanburg

  • Nikolausfeir: Saturday, December 3rd, 3 PM, at the home of Curt Wagner.
